Once malicious scripts slip past your perimeter defenses, basic antivirus apps can sometimes be blocked from executing. Use this definitive, step-by-step rescue protocol to clean your computer and reclaim control.

Step 1: Sever the Network Connection

Malware frequently coordinates actions with remote control servers hosted by hackers. They use this connection to scrape your personal data or download secondary payloads onto your hard drive.

• If your computer is using a physical connection, pull the Ethernet network cable straight out of the tower port.
• If you are using wireless Wi-Fi, disconnect from your local network immediately or toggle Airplane Mode to ON inside your system dashboard.
